Mama Bear Dashper’s Home made chips (v) (serves 2, preparation time 15 minutes, frying time 10 minut
These are the chips that my Mum always made when I was growing up. They are the best chips that I have ever had!
3 medium sized potatoes
oil for frying
Here’s what you do:
Step 1 - Peel the potatoes and the slice them so that they are reasonable thin.
Step 2 - Par boil the potatoes for five minutes and then drain.
Step 3 - Heat enough oil in a frying pan so that it will cover the chips.
Step 4 - Put the potatoes into the hot oil and allow them to fry until they are golden brown. This should take about 8 minutes.
Step 5 - Turn the chips out onto kitchen towel to drain off any excess oil and then serve.
